Even though RHVoice knows the names of letters and symbols in Luxembourgish, JAWS will choose the names using one of the languages it knows. Probably German, French or English depending on the language of your Windows interface.
We have files which can replace JAWS standard language files, and add Luxembourgish names.
The files are to be copied to a folder on your computer which is normally hidden.
Depending on the version of Windows you are using, look in control panel, file explorer options or folder options. In the view tab in the tree view, find the option called "show hidden files, folders and disk" and enable it.
Download this zip archive
Unpack it and you will find two sapi5x sbl files.
You may wish to make back-up copies of the standard versions of those files in C:Scientific025
Then copy the downloaded files to over-write those standard files.
If you are given a prompt for administrative privileges in the middle of copying, please proceed and let it be copied / replaced.
Please note: When you update your copy of JAWS, these files will revert to the standard version. You must copy in our Luxembourgish files once more.
After you replace these files, restart your copy of JAWS, and try to type the text on your keyboard, including punctuation.
With an RHVoice Luxembourgish voice, you should hear the localized symbols.
